Battlefield 6 FPS boost: the best PC settings
Battlefield 6 has big maps, destruction and up to 64 players, so it leans hard on both your CPU and graphics card. These settings keep the FPS high when the action starts.
1. Upscaling
Use DLSS (NVIDIA) or FSR (AMD) on Quality or Balanced. That is the biggest FPS gain for the smallest loss in picture quality. Leave frame generation off if you want the lowest input delay.
2. Graphics settings
- Shadows, lighting quality and volumetrics: low to medium
- Effects and post-process: low (less smoke and flash noise in fights)
- Terrain and undergrowth: medium (low can hide less, but costs little)
- Textures: as high as your video memory allows
- Motion blur, chromatic aberration, film grain, vignette: off
3. Low latency
- Fullscreen
- NVIDIA Reflex: On + Boost. AMD: Anti-Lag
- VSync off, frame rate limit at or a bit above your refresh rate
4. Windows
- Monitor at full refresh rate
- Game Mode and Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling on
- Newest graphics driver
- Game on an SSD
EMP Tweaks and Battlefield 6
EMP Tweaks writes these settings into Battlefield 6's settings file while the game is closed (pick Low, Medium, High or Auto), applies the Windows, network and GPU tweaks and measures your real FPS. Every change can be undone with one button.
Questions
Why does Battlefield 6 run worse in big fights?
Many players and destruction load the processor. Lower effects and volumetrics, and close background programs.
Is changing the settings file safe?
It is the same file the in-game menu writes. EMP only changes it while the game is closed and keeps a backup.
